ihi / Bupa Travel Insurance FAQQ: If I am hospitalised abroad, will IHI /Bupa directly settle the hospital bill?A: If you are hospitalised, you do not need to pay for the treatment yourself. Please notify ihi Bupa Medical Centre (24 hour service) immediately in order for them to send a guarantee of payment to the hospital. Without contacting IHI / Bupa first, your claim may not be settled directly. Q: If I fall sick abroad and need to see doctor, will I have to pay and then claim re-imbursement? A: Doctors bills and medicine expenses for outpatient treat must be paid by yourself before claiming re-imbursement. A completed medical claim form should then be sent to IHI / Bupa. You can download a claim form from www.ihi.com or request it from your travel agent.
