This private stand-alone villa, Baan Phulay,
occupies an enviable location on a serene stretch of a white sandy
beach. And, from the minute you arrive, you’ll be impressed by the
incredible attention to detail. The fine detail in the stone
pathways, the planting of the garden and the ornamentation on the
external walls gives an indication to the quality and thought that’s
gone into this home. Once inside you’ll also see that every detail has
been considered and catered for. In the first building, on the right,
the down stairs has two double en-suite bedrooms, both dressed with
fascinating furniture, accessories and artwork. Silk throws and
cushions; bohemian styled crocheted curtain tops; antique looking gold
fans; high quality wooden furniture and TVs. In the en-suite bathrooms
the details are even more striking. Each has stone covered walls, a
wood-panelled rain shower with open wooden slats and an eye-catching
ceramic sink unit sat on an elaborately tiled base.
A covered
twisting wooden staircase leads upstairs to a relaxing area complete
with comfortable seating and wooden doors leading to a double bedroom
with a large sun terrace and an interesting en-suite bathroom. A four
poster bed has a dressing area behind it and a huge, red wooden,
Chinese style cabinet houses the TV. Polished wooden floors and a
vaulted ceiling add to the style on show in this room. Comfortable sun
chairs are on the terrace and again the bathroom has some special
features. A double sink unit, with brown ornamental ceramic sinks,
stands out. But even this is overshadowed by the huge stone bathtub
with wooden shutters that open to reveal the sea-view. At the end
of this pavilion is a terrace and a lotus pond that covers the width of
the property with wooden terracing creating a bridge and pathway to an
island sala feature, and over to the next building. This has another
exquisite bathroom with black slate shower and feature green ceramic
sink; a stylish fully fitted kitchen; open plan dining area; and a
comfortable lounge. Opening glass doors on three sides create the
indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
Across the front of the property
there’s a wide sun terrace with ample sun loungers; a large black slate
edged swimming pool with Jacuzzi; outdoor shower; garden area and
access onto one of the islands remaining unspoilt beaches.
Heading
back to the entrance on the opposite side of the property, you have the
master suite pavilion, with lounge area; four poster bed; dressing
area; and a fantastic feature outdoor bathroom.
Crossing back
over the water feature you come to the final pavilion and its terrace.
On the ground floor is a family room with comfortable water-hyacinth
and wood furniture and another superb bathroom. Wooden stairs lead you
to a bedroom suite with a large sun terrace, a double bed, a feature
vaulted ceiling and, as now expected, an exceptional outdoor bathtub
and stylishly fitted en-suite bathroom.
This is an outstanding,
spacious, five-bedroom villa with superb facilities in an idyllic
peaceful location. But it’s the dressing that really separates this
from other villas. Unique bathrooms made out of natural materials;
slippers lined up outside the rooms; umbrella stands with sunshades;
high quality furnishings; carefully selected ornaments and artwork; and
the use of colourful silk accessories. Incredible attention has been
shown in every room, and outdoor area; even visible roof areas have
been dressed with pebbles and bamboo to ensure that every angle is
pleasing to look at. Villa price has been reduced from 65,000,000 THB to 42,500,000 THB for a quick sale.
