HM The King's Birthday
December the 5th was His Majesty the King Bhumipol Adulyadej's birthday. This public holiday is celebrated nation wide as Father's Day as the King is considered the Father of all Thai people. Starting a few weeks before the King's birthday, many buildings all over the country are adorned with Royal symbols and portraits of the King. His Majesty the King Rama IX is highly recognised among Thai society as taking good care of his people and has created many foundations and projects to improve the life of the Thais.
